The little masterpiece was created in March 1888, so maybe Vincent painted it for his birthday! Of course, We couldn’t miss such a celebration of creativity and sent our disciple Tyger Blake to help the genius master with his work.
Then We should arrive by Our Purrecious Selves to check if everything is in place and have some well-deserved shrimpies
Tyger Blake was not too experienced in helping famous artists. He was astonished by the simple beauty of the set and the light shining through the glass of water.

You know, cats are such good helpers!
Meanwhile, the artist painted Tyger’s efforts.
And then oops! Something went not quite like expected….
Good Van Gogh created the commonly known version of the painting just before the cat arrived. Now you can see it in the Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam

Vincent hid the version with the cat for himself, and it is revealed by Us only today!
Now you may visit the museum and ask there: “Please guide me to your secret room and show me the version with the cat!” They will be happy to help!
And now, a quiz:
Look at the splash of water from the glass. In what other painting by Vincent Van Gogh can you see it?
P.S. You would ask: “And what about shrimpies, did you get them finally?”
Of course, creativity should be generously awarded, even if it is just dripping!
Thus speaks Zarathustra the Celestial Cat
