Palazzo Te, built and decorated between 1525 and 1535, is the masterpiece of Giulio Romano, who conceived it as a place for idleness of the prince, Federico II Gonzaga. On the fresco in the Chamber of the Sun and the Moon, the chariot of the Moon is rising and the chariot of the Ginger Sun is driving away, so the Sun, represented by the shining cat, could take a noble nap. The perspective shows the course of the stars and the eternal alternation of darkness and light, of nap and consumption of shrimps and tuna. Seen from beneath with all his toe beans, the sun-cat watches attentively if there is any more food to munch on the evening earth:
